Standard versus reduced dose of antipsychotics for relapse prevention in multi-episode schizophrenia: a systematic review and meta-analysis of randomised controlled trials

Analysis (22 trials; n=3282) found that compared with standard dose antipsychotic treatment, low dose treatment increased the risk of relapse (RR 1.44, 95% CI 1.10–1.87; p=0.0076) and the risk of all-cause discontinuation (1.12, 1.03–1.22; p=0.0085).
