This guidance helps stakeholders to reduce any barriers to access and support the uptake of the COVID-19 vaccine amongst Muslim communities during the month of Ramadan, which starts on 12th April.

Two leading Muslim figures, Imam Yunus Dudhwala, Head of Chaplaincy at Barts Health NHS Trust, and Dr Farzana Hussain, a senior GP, have today joined other medical leaders and Islamic scholars in stressing that Ramadan should not stop anyone from getting the NHS COVID vaccination.
