Temporal Trend in Young-Onset Type 2 Diabetes—the Macrovascular and Mortality Risk: Study of U.K. Primary Care Electronic Medical Records

Analysis of UK data (n=370,854 with new diagnosis of type 2 diabetes; 2000 to 2017) found those aged 18–39 years had higher rates of obesity (71% obese), high HbA1c (mean 8.6%), high LDL-C (71%), and only 18% were on cardioprotective therapy vs those aged ≥50 years.
