Testing for Primary Aldosteronism and Mineralocorticoid Receptor Antagonist Use Among U.S. Veterans: A Retrospective Cohort Study

Study (n=4277) found a nephrologist (HR 2.05, 95%CI 1.66-2.52), or endocrinologist visit (2.48, 1.69-3.63) was associated with increased testing vs primary care. Testing increased the likelihood of initiating mineralocorticoid therapy 4-fold, and improved blood pressure control.
