The effect of diet in infancy on asthma in young adults: the Merthyr Allergy Prevention Study
Study (n=487 infants; 299 completed study at 23 years) found cow’s milk avoidance (or early soya milk exposure) for first 4 months of life increased risk of asthma (adjusted OR 2.07, 95%CI 1.09 to 3.91; p=0.03) and atopy (2.97; 1.30 to 6.80; p=0.01) in adulthood vs a normal diet.
