Review (17 RCTs) reports for subgroup of patients with adenocarcinoma, preoperative chemoradiotherapy/perioperative chemotherapy should be offered; and for those with squamous cell carcinoma, preoperative chemoradiotherapy/ chemoradiotherapy without surgery should be offered.
