UK government unveils £100 million extra funding to boost vaccine manufacturing capabilities

This investment will fund a Cell and Gene Therapy Catapult Manufacturing Innovation Centre in Essex, to accelerate mass production of a successful COVID-19 vaccine. This will complement the Vaccines Manufacturing and Innovation Centre, currently under construction in Oxfordshire.
