UK Researchers find COVID-19 might have long-term effects on sense of taste and smell in an observational study from Oxford University
Study (n=782) compared before-and-after brain scans, 394 participants had tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 of which 15 had been hospitalised. They found the virus made a noticeable effect on the brain with loss of some grey matter in 3 areas linked to the senses of taste and smell.
