Updated guidance on meeting the duty of candour

This regulation makes clear what providers must do to meet the requirements of the regulation and the circumstances in which it must be applied. It was introduced in 2014 in response to concerns raised following investigations into Mid Staffordshire NHS Foundation Trust.
