Use of effective contraception following provision of the progestogen-only pill for women presenting to community pharmacies for emergency contraception (Bridge-It): a pragmatic cluster-randomised crossover trial

This UK study (n=636) found provision of the progestogen-only pill to women presenting for emergency contraception, plus invitation to a sexual health clinic, was associated with increased use of effective contraception at 4 months (mean 58.4% v 40.5% control; p=0.011).
