Vigabatrin (Kigabeq) accepted for restricted use within NHS Scotland for treatment of infantile spasms and resistant partial epilepsy
Treatment is restricted to paediatric patients from 1 month to less than 7 years of age in whom other formulations of vigabatrin are unsuitable. Vigabatrin 500mg soluble tablets are considered bioequivalent to vigabatrin 500mg granules for oral solution but are more expensive.
