What is happening to life expectancy in England

Before the Covid-19 pandemic, life expectancy UK trailed many western European countries. A fall in life expectancies is expected in 2020 as a result of pandemic, but it isn’t yet possible to estimate magnitude of the falls, and therefore impact on the UK’s relative standing.
